Toyota Corolla Smart Key Battery Change HOW TO

Hello, this week we have one of the latest Toyota smart keys. This one is for a Toyota Corolla, but other models are similar.
This is very easy to change and you will need a CR2032 key battery and no special tools.

Many thanks. You made this so easy. Brings back memories of taking a Ford Focus in for a service at a main dealership and receiving a phone call later in the day to say that the key battery needed replacing and it would cost about £45. This came as a bit of an unpleasant shock especially when I pointed out to the caller that I hadn't actually left them the electronic key, just the spare which was just an ordinary mechanical one which obviously didn't have a battery. Cue embarrassed silence on the other end of the phone followed by an assortment of weak excuses for the error ... main dealers eh!!

Thank you! I can't believe this sort of easy DIY isn't mentioned in the user manual, at least I haven't found it anywhere (Corolla hybrid, 2020, Swedish user manual).
