I was dreading this video. This is such a horrible and shocking loss! Michael was great and really underrated. He was hilarious and a very smart progressive. So sad. 2020 needs to give us a respite.

I never realized I could be so upset about the loss of someone I never knew personally. Michael was an unwavering voice of the working class struggle and the the victims of imperialism. His awesome impersonations and sick burns will be missed.

Followed his show for years. I actually was typing criticism at him (with hope) on the whole Bret Weinstein argument Sam, Michael & crew were having.. And then I refreshed my feed and saw he passed away. And I just realized how many segments I watched of him, how much he taught me on Brazil, geo-politics. And I felt very sad, guilty. Focusing on petty online ''tribal beef''. And I just want to say that perhaps we should all be a little bit more kind, open, and act in good faith. This one hit me hard last night. I had a phenomenal time at that Brooklyn show. Michael was definitely incredibly smart and hilarious but he also seemed genuinely kindhearted
