I think the most touching part of this story is that even after 3 years people still cared to look for a missing person.

‘MISSING’ is the worst place to be. Prayers for comfort for the family. Gratitude and respect for those who searched and found this man.

God bless these people who care enough to keep on going for families they don't even know. My heart goes out to this missing man's family.

My heart hurts for his family. My dad went missing for 6 days back in 2019. He was found alive and well, suffering from a dementia/amnesia episode. I can honestly say I will never wish the torture of not knowing on anyone ever. I didn’t sleep for 6 days, worrying about him. I can’t imagine 3 years going by. May he rest in peace and the family find closure and consolation.

Amazes me how often people go missing who are found years later still in their vehicles.

I'm glad he was found. I am happy that the search team found him.

It is always people who do this for FREE that find these missing people where police, who have taxpayer money and salaries, fail. Thank goodness for these volunteers.

Glad they found him. At least the family can have some sort of peace. My prayers to them. And outstanding job of all search teams looking for him.

I think not knowing what happened to a loved would be absolute torture....sad ending but hopefully the family can now lay him to rest & find peace ❤

Having to search over 70 bodies of water sounds insurmountable. I'm so glad this family was able to find out what happened to their loved one and that his colleagues, friends, and students don't continue to have the lingering question of "what happened?" whenever they think of him. Truly bittersweet end to a search like this, but what a relief, too, for the family to know his body can now be respectfully put to rest.

He took the words… Truly is bitter sweet 🙏🏼 I lost my son in a car accident in 2018.
In saying that… I couldn’t imagine going through 3 years of not knowing… All the
assumptions going through your mind.. All the support in the beginning… Then
one day you wake up and it’s few and far between…. I hope in time they find peace.
