Kudos to MotoMan Sr! That's an immaculate piece of kit, and keeping a white interior in that condition is no easy task. Chapeau, sir!

Although I'm not a fan of the 50th anniversary's grille, it was a proper Mustang in its purest form.

I'm still warming to the new generation Mustang, but I'm very grateful that it still exists.

Excellent work, M!

Before my brother switched to an i30 N, he drove a 2018 Mustang GT. For us Europeans, it felt a little cheap overall, but still the best deal for the money then. € 45.000 for a new big V8 was a bargain. Sadly they are much more expensive now, but we still love them. Great comparison!

Now I’m going to get in my car today and feel like I’m in an In-N-Out on 4 wheels. Thanks guys!

That silver with the red/black interior combo looks sweet.

Thank you for the proper reality check.

I know nothing about video production but to my un-trained eye, your production quality is next level. The camera angles, the switching perspective interior shots bouncing to exterior on-the-road shots, the scene changes...I could go on. You're doing some of the most top-notch work in motoring YouTube.

I live in Palm Springs. If we see a Mustang we know it’s a tourist in a rental.

The Mustang has been my top favorite for as long as I can remember. That love solidified my freshman year of college in 1989 when I met someone with a brand new 5.0 LX Convertible. (Red with the white convertible top and white wheels.) I'm so glad it's still around and raising hell today, but as a 'seasoned' professional, I needed something more representative. (...but with the same character underneath.) 😈 Thanks for posting, this was another great offering!!

I got my license in Feb of 1990. Within 2 days, my family was flying from Boston out to CA to be with my mom's family. My mom handed her '65 Mustang to her brother decades before when she left for Alaska. He still had it and I was driving it around for the week+ we were out there. Nothing better than driving that around, going to the mall with my cousin and getting approached by security looking to kick us out as it was during CA school week but MA was on vacation. My version of living dangerously. But, for a period of time, the most time I had spent behind the wheel, driving, was in a '65 Mustang. I did blow a radiator hose while I was out there, tho...

You do great work, Sir, far more both in-depth & topical than those other car guy channels & I thank you for your insight....

@motomantv I love that you threw in a Mustang Mach-E police car as an Easter egg.

I've owned an s550.1 since nov 2014. I was hoping to upgrade but I think the s650 is a miss. It didn't address any complaints about the s550 and in fact made some aspects worse. The s650 is heavier than the s550. The dash is goofy and generic when compared to the s550. They still have the mt82 and the price went up significantly.

I also think the front bumper of the s650 GT is weird looking with that gloss black lipgloss.

The dark horse looks good but it's soooo much more money for not much improvement. Its arebadged mach 1. Plus cmon. Dark Horse? A screaming 5.0 v8 is definitionally not a "dark horse". Also the name and emblem sound like they were thought up by a boardroom of middle aged women. Just kinda corny.

Idk I just wish the s650 addressed one of the complaints about the s550.

Excellent video and comparison to the in-n-out burgers. In 1996 my divorce gift to myself was a black on black 5 speed manual Mustang GT with an anemic 210 hp SOHC 4.6l V8. Loved that car. Last April I treated myself to a 1999 C5 Hardtop w only 18k miles. It’s like a huge slot car and is a ton of fun to drive especially w a 6 speed manual and Z51 suspension. Car is in near showroom condition.
When I saw the title of this video I had to watch it since I was a former Mustang owner. My all time fav is the S197, specifically2013-14 GT w 5.0 engine. Been tossing around the idea of selling my C5 and getting a clean 13-14 GT, maybe in 3 years when it will be paid off. trying to find an unmodified one will be challenging but I’m sure there is a One owner garage kept 2013–14 GT waiting for me !

I saved for a GT convertible for 2 years. When I realized I could get a Dark Horse Premium for basically the same price, I went that direction. I got Recaros and the six speed. Think I made a good choice. Have fun.

I just road tripped a rented 2024 Ecoboost Mustang 1700 miles. It was a great companion for the trip with 1 exception...

It was a base model without adaptive cruise control.

Honestly, I'd think seriously about buying one, but optioning one with adaptive cruise puts it slightly out of my price range. 😕

An interesting take, I like the inflation adjusted data and percentage of average income. Overall nice cars I like the sound of the Coyote V8 more than that of the Hemi or LT1. I'm not a fan of the S650's Dual iPad, or higher trimmed nearly full dash screen, even with the Fox body gauge theme setting. The Alpha platform outgoing Gen 6 Camaro on the Alpha platform equipped with the V8, had excellent steering feel much better than its 2 competitors it was essentially a sports car with a muscle car engine.
