As an MS Access developer, I was fully familiar with SQL in that environment. I've never formally been an IT person, so I've not had exposure nor training to SQL in a SQL server environment. Hi. i knew SQL but never used it on regular basis. i had to revise my concepts . accidently i turned on your videos and really learned many others concepts i couldn't understand before specially with CASE value and TRIM, PAD etc. love your way of explaining things, will definitely look for more of your videos. Dear Adam, thank you so much for this short course. I'm kind a newbie (or better to say newBI) in SQL, but it was looking strange for me that in this language exist both UPPER and LOWER like in Excel but no PROPER for correct first character case. So I've googled a bit and found the INITCAP function which also solves the task. One of things that I've learned till now is that often good Excel base is an advantage for SQL but sometimes you may get some faux amis and have to dive deeper into vocabulary 😅
