Chanel Classic Flap Bag Review

Reviewing here the Chanel Classic Jumbo Flap Bag in black caviar leather and silver hardware. It's one of my favorite bags of all times and always in style. Discussing my thoughts on the bag, why I chose this one, my experience in the boutique when I purchased it, and previous/current pricing. For a long time, as Chanel prices have risen, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I would be happy to have a LYXBAGS as a travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one would have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.

I just found your channel, you have such nice videos. You are clear and concise, your camera angles look good, nice background, you are dressed nicely and pretty makeup, and you don't come off snobby or unreachable. Really good 👍
I have a vintage Chanel, you sounded a bit curious about them so I shall tell you a bit 🙂 It's pretty old, 1984ish, the first year they started using tracking/serial numbers, and surprisingly, mine still has hers lol, many old bags do not because they are just stickers that often fell off. I don't know what her official name is tbh, but she is a double flap, and is 9-10 inches long, a bit smaller than yours maybe. She has the burgundy interior, it was supposedly the color that Coco had to wear at the convent she grew up at I think, a nod to her past.
Mine is pretty lightweight, I can tell from watching people handle the modern ones that they are significantly heavier than mine. What *is* heavy about mine is the chain. It has the real gold chain and double Cs. There is no leather threaded through the chain, and it actually makes it quite stunning. The gold is really something to behold, when my bag arrived from the authenticator, my husband was so excited to see it (it was a gift from him) that he ripped the box open himelf and pulled her right out 🤣 And I was laughing at his excitement, but then we saw the bag and we both got very quiet. The gold on the softly shining black lambskin...it just took our breath away. She is like a piece of jewelry, just incredible.
I don't carry mine as a daily bag by any means, to me she is a little piece of history that should be protected. I take her out to dinner or to parties. She is a special occasion bag lol
My bag came from Japan, I've had good luck buying pre loved there, they have strict counterfeit laws, but it also went to a third party authenticator. Whoever had mine took amazing care of her. You can tell by the inside that she was at least carried a little, but there are no scratches or cracking anywhere. Her quilts are quite flat, but they aren't wrinkled. To my knowledge, really vintage bags were also not as puffy to begin with. I personally don't like the puffy quilting (I know I'm in the minority here), so I would probably not buy a modern chanel flap, though there are plenty of modern Chanel bags I could covet lol.

Many really wealthy people I know care less about the social implications of buying fakes. Plus, they might look down on "hillbillies" who spend so much money on a ridiculously overpriced bag. With luxury brands once again raising prices and limiting inventory, the replica version of HIDUPZ is even more attractive.
