Is there any question...?? This is the world's BEST female singer-for every genre! This song, "Moon River" written by Hank Mancini and words by Johnny Mercer fro thw 1962 movie "Breakfast At Tiffany's: starring Audrey Hepburn who sang it in the movie. It has been recorded and performd many times by song stylists (male and female over the years) but here receives a fresh, organic treatment from Morissette like no other artists. She then incorporates a Philliino folk song, also in 3/4 seemelessly. The key changes here; Bb to B to D and then into the Ursuay song, also in 3/4 and in D then she recapitulates to "Moon River" in the out chorus. The harmonies are sophiticated and the backgrounds (Morissette and Dave Laqmar) add color and variety and warmth to the production value. The bass player is outstanding, lots of double stops, and substitute changes-he is a master of his craft too. Morissette surrounds herself with musicianship comparable to her own abilities which are outstanding. Nuff said!!!

I think people are heavily against admitting the fact that she is the best singer, artist, performer on the planet, because frankly, she is, what a wonderful human being she is as well, she lives for singing & performing, and doesn't it show, never ever sells her fans short, she's set the bar so high now, it's catch up time for the rest now, good luck with that one, I am a young at heart 62yr old, seen a lot of artists live, my home city gave the world the Beatles, but i get lost for words when it comes to the one & only Morissette Amon.

That visayan folksong was lavishly made relevant by morisette to this millenial age. Hope that todays filipino artists could use their talents to instill the filipino cultural heritage and would not just dwell to the contemporary.
