Hollow Knight | Touch-Tone Telephone PMV

Hello fellow bug fans. Guess what I actually managed to finish.

Large scale projects really aren't my thing and I'm very very surprised I actually managed to get this done. I was so happy with all the support you were all giving the storyboard and it pushed me to see what I could make out of it. I'm actually really proud of how it came out. I really hope you enjoy this and a huge thanks to all the nice comments that were left on the storyboard.

I like to believe, the Pale King didnt die because of Void shenanigans, but because he couldnt actually leave his throneroom for groceries because he went a bit too crazy on his home decoration of buzzsaws

It's incredible that the part that made me cry was when Ogrim is looking at the statues that he made.

The void was that cost. He used it to end the infection, but what he didn’t realise that it was also the end of him.

That's it. That's the most important line in the whole song, both for its original context and definitely this context.

I feel like the last verse is where this song REALLY fits with the Pale King. The biggest trait of the Pale King that we know for a fact is his hubris. He thought that he could succeed where all others had failed, that he could build an eternal kingdom. And after he sealed the Hollow Knight, he thought he had succeeded. The triumphant declarations in that part of the song are simply perfect.

One thing that always struck me about the Pale King is how pretty much everyone loved him. Not just the common people, but the bugs (and the root) who actually interacted with him.
The White Lady still loved him even though he did... _that_ to her children, to the point that she refuses to reproduce anymore.

Further proof that nobody in Hollow Knight really is the villain. The Radiance was ripped from her home, but the Pale King was just trying to help his people when she came back

The original animatic is what got me into Hollow Knight. No lie, Youtube refused to stop recommending after I listened to two (2) Lemon Demon songs.
