The RDS eliminates the digital divide between learners that have resources and learners who do not. The RDS increases retention by providing course software and personal cloud storage for learners accessible anytime, anywhere. Boundaries for traditional technical services are then moved from the edge of the campus to the horizon. In addition, the RDS provides all learning communities participants with the learning flexibility to balance education with the demands of work and/or geographic limitations. The RDS follows the learner from course to course and computer to computer providing a reliable place to save work, access technical programs, and applications as needed.
