WHY You Should Fly The New Bristell Light Sport

I checked out the Bristell ELSA on my trip to NY. This is the flight video from that trip. My first impression of the Bristell light sport aircraft is that it’s one beautifully designed airplane. both inside and out, this is just a great looking airplane. After sitting in the airplane, I became more impressed.

When you sit in a Bristell, you’ll notice that your position is quite up right. You see over the cowling and propeller. I personally like that. The model airplane we’re flying today is an experimental light sport. For the light sport model, your options will be limited because lsa have their limitations in gross weight and engine performance. But if you opt for an experimental model of the Bristell, suddenly you’ll have many more options to add to your airplane. Options like the more powerful Rotax 915 engine, a constant speed prop, IFR equipments, and the list goes on.

Flying this Bristell was a blast, especially in the cool cool air of NY. The aircraft flew nicely and one main thing I noticed particularly with the control stick is that if felt very sturdy; meaning it stays right in place wherever you put it without wobbling around. The Bristell is also quite sporty in flight and the controls are nice and gentle. The sturdiness almost feels like you’re flying a non-lsa, if that’s even a word.

This aircraft is clearly not for everyone, but for those who want a modern and well built light airplane. I would definitely look at a Bristell

Had a chance to actually test fly a decked out Bristell a few weeks ago in Lancaster PA and truly an amazing aircraft with incredible handling characteristics. Beats the 2 place Pipers and Cessnas hands down.

I am training in this plane, it handled very well and I love how it takes a lot of the work load off of me

On your next Bristell video be sure to list the 26 improvements incorporated in the Bristell over the Sport Cruiser by the same designer of both planes.

Thanks for a great video. I’m going to do a demo flight this weekend in a new Bristell in Sebring FL. The price is great when I compare a new 172.

Another great video
Bristell produces a first class light sport aircraft...
Because we love you.... I remind you that next time please tighten up those straps because the downside of the canopy like that is that if that plane drops in turbulence, you'll be unconscious when your head hits the canopy... You really need to strap yourself down tight in that plane (I know you didn't want to ruin your fancy coat... LOL)
seriously, thanks for sharing this with us. I look forward to your next video

Very nice Mojo. I'm still going to get a modified rv6. Inline seating but single person around the world capable long range cruiser. Is that possible? Doing loops and barrel rolls with 2 people, or kicking them out and using the same weight for fuel? 30 extra gallons=70 gallons and 120 lbs of gear. 1, 400 Mile range or 1, 100? I don't know but 300, 000 grand better buy me that or I'll get the stemme glider.

Nice video Mike, I love your attention to the creature comforts in the planes. Any plans to review an RV-6(A) or RV-7(A) in the future? It's only a 2 seater but seems like a contender price-wise.

What was the useful load on that loaded bristell?

Thank you for all the reviews on planes. Your seating position, the “mission”, and including the price really make them great! Every time I think I know the I want to buy based your videos, you come out with a new one on a brand I have never heard of, , , its awesome! So. I will ask you, which one are you buying? I have a Cessna 205, but would like something more gas efficient and modern panel. I could keep the 205 for family trips and get a 2 seater for weekly training flights and building hours- what’s your recommendation? Trying to stay under $100K. Used Vans RV 9? Thanks again for the videos- keep them coming.

Nice review - I am a private pilot, sold my Grumman AA1, and want to get back into flying. Local airport has a Bristell available to rent, looks like a great way to get my arse aloft again.

Good ole KISP. The Bristell look good. Are there any RG variants at KISP ? While you are flying around L.I. Check out my home field, FRG !
Plenty of airworthy war-birds to film at the museum this week.
