Extracted in witch haze, or ethanol, then shake every couple days, strain, add equal parts distilled water to extract/tincture and add some oils.

Lemon grass works well against mosquitos too. I have pets so I go with the non-toxic route, all natural route.

When he said "witch hazel" or "ethanol" and poured the brown liquid, my brain thought "vanilla extract" and it made me curious if you can add it to make the smell more comfortable and comforting to wear as a human around other humans, whilst the calendula (and other smelly herbs ) do their job repelling the bloodsucker mosquitos and other bugs? 🤔🦟🍫

I've put vanilla extract in a little spritz bottle with rosewater before as a facial/body air or whatever scent spray and skin soother💆💚🌿!

I bet you could make another mosquito repellent with citronella herb (oil) also known as the mosquito plant or even lemon eucalyptus (oil) wich I know the smell of those keep most summertime bugs away
