I think the situation of Uber vs Tesla robotaxi is like that of Blockbuster and Netflix streaming. When robotaxi is matured, Uber will be gone like Blockbuster. Therefore, if I were Uber CEO, I would partner with Tesla asap to save the business.

Uber seems at very high risk of bankruptcy if they don't try and join forces with Tesla. Why would anyone want to have Uber as a middleman if a person can just buy a Tesla with FSD and be a sole proprietor? The concern of customer service if someone leaves something in a car or gets sick is such a small percentage it's a non-issue to me. If that's Uber's best "moat" it's not very impressive. Rather, Uber drivers are going to demand FSD and will question why Uber should get a cut of their pay. I'd like to hear the Uber CEO talk more about how they intend to compete with that part. Nothing against Uber...I like the service, but it almost seems like check-mate on this one. Their best bet is if Telsa doesn't want to deal with the financial transactions part of it....or if FSD really bombs. Or, Uber could invest in a fleet of Tesla vehicles with FSD and just do away with working directly with Uber drivers. In that case, Tesla still wins.

I think one of the smartest men on the planet can figure out customer service and handle a large qty of small transactions, that said, this is Uber & Lyfts wet dream, to replace all of their expensive drivers, maybe some kind of partnership could happen

Tesla can simply display a message on the screen or Rear tablet. I have all my things check, I double checked for all my belongings check.

Also a message display where they can always click stop ride. Or call 911 medical emergency.

Thoughts are that robo taxi is not a given. FSD has been touted and delayed for years and could be a decade away. Flying cars are soon to be and that's a guarantee

I think Tom Lee is in the camp that rate cuts are coming this year which they are not unless inflation rates starts to accelerate to 2% target a lot faster

Tesla should definitely partner with Uber. Both have incredible product and engineering teams and first mover advantage. This is a rare situation of positive-sum gain.

Makes no sense for Tesla to partner with Uber. For Uber to survive they will have to transition the business into buying a fleet of Tesla cars and becoming a robo taxi operator like anyone else can and Uber in it's present form goes bye bye. Anyone will be able to do the same. Buy as many Teslas as you can and make them available for Tesla as a robo taxi.

Here in uk, Uber can't roll out all over the uk after all these years they can barely cover food delivery in uk they can't deliver were I live as they don't have the info structure in 9lace and is same for most if uk other than cities they have them covered OK, so I belive uber need tesla more than tesla need them so would be in uber best intreat they will soon come running to tesla 😉

I think fsd will launch imminently, in china. Also i dont think tesla needs uber. They have been working on the tesla app for a long time. They plan to sell movies and games to drivers so of course they are aware of the transaction traffic. Its all software, and tesla has the best in the buisness + the worlds most powerful super computer. Uber should be cozying up to elon now and maybe he'll sell them a fleet. But again i dont think he has too.

Uber will die on its own, so Tesla would not have to cooperate, but if Tesla teams up with them they could much quicker take over the market. The best deal for Tesla would be a sort of "phase out" deal for uber where they get half the profit for the next 5-10 years and then the cooperation is over, but Uber might not accept it. However, 5-10 year of 50 percent is better than a sudden death. I don't see what this cooperation would look like, since Tesla have their own app. Using ubers app could speed things up, but it doesnt seem like they will do that. Anybody know what tesla would get out of a deal with Uber.

A Tesla robotaxi would be similar to waymo
Robotaxi will need radar and operators working a screen a with many robotaxis cameras displayed
with a headquarters where the robotaxis get serviced and it would make sense for Tesla to source a third party to operate this robotaxi network
