guys fyi you can use salt (and vinegar for more of an effect) as a dye fixative

Hi I have a pink knitted nike running shoes, I wish to dye it black.

Will bleaching get rid of the pink?

Also in my country we only have "gamusa nubuck pigskin canvas" dye. Will that work on my knitted nike shoes if ever I somehow bleached it?

Will the dye fade when it get rained on? its rainy in my country. Thanks!

In my experience, washing, or submerging your sneakers in anything much warmer than lukewarm water weakens or melts the sole glue, resulting in the shoe falling apart soon after you start wearing them again…

The sole gets stained to and not very evenly. Could i put some drawing gum masking fluid to protect it?

Really helpful! I'm needing running shoes and am thinking about New Balance since they have the best functionality, but who wants orange or neon colored shoes that fit Just Right lol. Gonna use this to change up the color, actual application. Once I end up buying them when these crap shoes I have die or I get tired enough to splurge on it, I'll update and let yall know how well it worked (if I remember)

does this work if my slip on shoes are already colored, mine are purple, but do they have to be white, or do I need to get them to be white to dye properly?
