India learned a lot more from the West than the West learned from India. And it remans so. Yoga doesn't count.

In last 4000 years of History India & China alone has dominated the whole world for more than 3000 years, especially India because of How knowledgeable & Powerful they were in those times.
Not just that, India also had Cultural, Ethical & Moral values to make good use of that power that's how they were able to dominate for so long.
Many of the Technological discoveries made by west in last few centuries were based on concepts, formula & theories written in Indian scriptures. That's why we see the likes of Bohr, Rutherford, Edison, Carl Sagan, Tesla saying stuff like "They were inspired by reading Indian scriptures like Vedas, Upnishads".
Also many concepts of Calculus was already well developed in India by Kerala School of Mathematics, Madhava, Bhaskara etc.
The ancient text of Agastya Samhita written around 4000 BC by sage Agatsya describes the method of making electric battery with 1.138 volts and 23 mA and that water can be split into oxygen and hydrogen.Modern battery cell resembles Agastya's method of generating electricity.
The speed of Light(extremely close to current measurement) is also mentioned in a text written by Sayana who was a minister in the court of Bukka of the great Vijayanagar Empire of Karnataka in South India (in early 14th century).

I think the Global South should remember that it is the west that is bringing humanity into the future.

1979 China was a rural backwater and is now technology and military the second due to Western Investment.

Now the same story is playing out for India.

I have more hope for India being a positive power in the world when it realizes its true capability.

But it is Western Investment, Western Culture, Western Technology that has been driving the modern age since at least the 18th century.

Without the west and that 20% of human population the 80% would still, today be tribal, feudal or in various states of more primitive times.

I’m not saying that the west is better because technology isn’t always necessarily better for the human condition.

I am saying that for whatever reason that region has moved medicine, science, mathematics, infrastructure, technology far faster into the future than any region in the history of humanity.

Someone should really come up with a better term than “The Global South”. Especially since a lot of the countries are in the northern hemisphere.
It’s just as bad as when people lump Australia in with “The West”, when it’s in the complete opposite quadrant of the globe from the rest of what is considered “The West”. It’s all just another way to further separate people at a time when the entire global community needs to come together to work on the environment, global economy, and etc.

The West can learn how to be second and third countries to land a spacecraft on the south pole of the moon since India's the First.

On August 23, 2023 12:34 UTC, India's Chandrayaan-3 became the first lunar mission to achieve a soft landing near the lunar south pole

India was also the first country to discover water on the Moon.

The Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite (LCROSS) was a robotic spacecraft operated by NASA.

The mission was conceived as a low-cost means of determining the nature of hydrogen detected at the polar regions of the Moon.[13] Launched immediately after discovery of lunar water by India's Chandrayaan-1.

India's Chandrayaan 3 was the first to discover oxygen pockets, and other elements on the Moon.

He forgot east asia and south east asia. Out of that 80%, 60% would be them in terms of nee ideas and cleanliness, decency and civility, the rest 20% would be distributed among global south.

How to pollute the air and water without a care in the world? How to not use mouthwash or deodorant? How to learn to speak any language & still pronounce it like your own? How to never use condoms? Yeah, we could learn a lot from them...😏🙄

I hate this idea of the global south in general, but also that India or Russia or China represent them.
It's the same problem, these countries want to represent themselves.
And there are way more times when say South America and the Caribbean ect are going to align with other similar countries.
And I don't see India speaking for the Middle East.
Or even east Asian. Despite that's where they could find allies.
It's wishy washy ness means it can't be the ally countries that need help against China need.

That kind of rhetoric doesn't change the world. It doesn't give anyone any more voice.
The US pays more attention to south America(celac countries let's say), good and bad, than India.

India hasnt been bad. But it has been selfish. How is that recognizing or helping the world.

Only good thing India has done here is advocating for an African country and AU. But the other countries have helped them too.
