3:34 That Richard Jewel was initially considered a suspect is the understatement of the century. Law enforcement ruined the life of an innocent man.

It’s funny how fast Watchmojo capitalizes on any new headline and finds a way to make a Top 10 out of it 😂

I think it's rather unique of Son of Sam to understand that he shouldn't be released. Like he feels that he deserves to be where he is and he isn't gonna complain

It's chilling about Christopher Dorner seeing him grinning in every picture because he looks like a nice and happy man, not a disgruntled man who became a killer.

Kinda find it abit odd how Cavalcante's on the thumbnail, yet he's not on here at all. Not even an honorable mention. I get he's the most recent, as he escaped back on September 1st and was caught only 5 days ago. But still, think it would've been better not to use him if he's not on here.

Cavalcante was in my township and loose for 5 of the days in the manhunt. It was truly terrifying!!

I live in Chester County in Pennsylvania. Cavalcante was caught 10 minutes from my house. The Sunday before he was caught, he was on my street. One of my aunts lives 5 minutes and another aunt used to live 3 blocks away from the Guilgo Beach killer.

I know it happened outside of the U.S., but I think the hunt for Bin Laden also qualified for this list.
As always thank you so very much for the videos.
I also remember the hunt for the Zodiac killer, being a kid in the Bay Area at the time. That Halloween it felt like there was an officer on every other street corner.

I lived right near there when the manhunt for Christopher Dorner was happening. I remember one night I was outside on the phone and this helicopter just kept doing circles so I could barely hear who I was talking to.

The fact most of these were during my lifetime is scary aF, but by FAR the scariest for me were Andrew Cunanan and Yummy Sandifer. Streets were not safe.

On a side note, it is because of Bonnie and Clyde, Dillinger, etc. A law went into effect that they could pursue criminals across state lines. Used to be that the police had to stop at the state, or county line even if they were in pursuit of criminals. I believe that is why they had so many safe houses near borders, I could be wrong though.

In the Christopher Dorner case, don't forget about the couple of people the police killed "thinking" it was Dorner.

I always find it fascinating how some people can cause so much fear, terror, panic & dread during a manhunt. & how far we have to go to catch these individuals

I'm shocked that the Boston strangler is not mentioned.

How do you not mention Brian Nichols?! He has everyone in Atlanta and surrounding areas terrified when he escaped after shooting up the courthouse

I didn’t realize I was terrified recently, or anyone else outside of SE PA. Few, if any, terrorized “America”. Several I’ve never heard of.

6:09 He has been sentenced to 12 consecutive life sentences, but his lawyer has told him, with good behavior, he should be able to cut that in half.
