I love the act of slow living and being present.

My kid self was entranced by spinning wheels in fairy tales, but I never did understand the purpose just by reading about it. This was great to see.

My mom used to get wool from a farmer and spin her own yarn for knitting and crocheting. Such a cool thing

Of COURSE you spin your own wool!!! ❤ I have always wanted to do this! The sound of the wooden machine is mesmerizing!
I’m hoping that this means that you have a full video on this coming up!!

You are a true Renaissance man. Love your attention to detail and getting it right. You are definitely not a half ass kinda guy. Love that!!! Wish more people took pride and passion into the different mediums of art and culture.

Hi Rajiv. I watched your video on cleaning with nice things. I bought a beautiful wooden step stool and I’m using the gross plastic one in the garage 😂. I’ve been inspired by you to begin watercolor drawings and bought the most beautiful sheets from BrookLinen. Keep up with the inspirations we so desperately need in this crazy world. Thank you.

My mom was a spinner and weaver. This brings back some memories! I will say an uneven and chunky wool yarn (intentionally done and handwoven) makes a lovely fluffy textured scarf that cannot be beat for winter wear.

I never wear shoes when I spin. I can hear and feel the lovely clacking sound my Matchless makes. It’s my therapy

I never saw a spin wheel in my life, I’m 63 years old, thank you for giving me that opportunity.❤❤❤

As a spinner, I am totally in love with this video! There's nothing like the joy of processing wool into yarn. It's so meditative. 🧶

I have not ever spun wool on a spinning wheel. I have gone even more primitive by using a drop spindle. It is slower but really satisfying. It is difficult to get an even thread but you are doing a beautiful job.

My mom was a spinner and weaver. I dabbled in spinning years ago. It is such a meditative activity. I could watch you spin all day, but you need to oil that wheel. 😆 You are very good!

Thanks for your demo. Our weavers guild just had a workshop at our local library to encourage new generations of spinners and weavers. I'm 68 and find these old ways soothing and stabilizing for a happu healthy life. I am also continuing to paint watercolors. Keep up the inspiration for simple aesthetics.

Gives such an appreciation for the craft of spinning and the time consuming work of making a hand made garment of wool. Thanks so much.

I like how he makes it look like the easiest thing in the world while explaining what’s going on.
