The India Today-Axis My India exit poll predicts a breakthrough for the BJP in Tamil Nadu with the saffron party expected to open its account in the state. Much of this is seen as the direct result of the efforts put in by K Annamalai, the BJP superstar in Tamil Nadu. The 39-year-old is contesting these elections from the crucial Coimbatore seat and is pitted against former mayor and DMK leader Ganapathi Raj Kumar. Here’s a special conversation with the young leader, a short while after the stunning India Today-Axis My India exit poll results were aired.

I'm from TN and for who are wondering what is big deal in BJP getting a 14% vote share. See BJP is weak in many states like andhra but the thing in TN is BJP vote share was less than NOTA and also BJP and modi was hated the most to an unimaginable level. Where in States like Andhra BJP would not have good vote share but it was not hated to that level.
But after annamalai arrival he first subsided the hate and then he grew the party from equal to NOTA to hopping 14% which is tremendous achievement.
