This actually will work, it’s a brushed motor meaning when you twist the shaft, it will indeed generate electricity that will then be brought out of the motor backwards compared to if you were using it normally. But the magnets will lose power, so this type of design is better off on some type of manually powered bicycle or something. You could sit there and charge it up a few times per day. You’d want to make it a lot bigger with more resistance if you want to power anything over an LED.
