‘The Best One Yet’ is a post-lockdown anthem that celebrates and resurrects the joy of festivals after what has been a difficult year - It’s a story of community, of resilience and of coming together – not just for Show of Hands, Track Dogs, Edgelarks and Banter – but for all music fans across the UK.
Songwriter and Show of Hands lead singer Steve Knightley says: “This song marks the end of a difficult period for all of us. Steve Knightley, Phil Beer, Miranda Sykes and Cormac Byrne have reunited as Show Of Hands to release a post-lockdown anthem that celebrates everything we love and have missed about the joy of summer festivals. They are joined by The Firebrand Band – Track Dogs, Edgelarks and Banter for the up-tempo track – which is set to become the anthem of the year.

‘The Best One Yet’ features an unforgettable melody and heartwarming lyrics that will resonate with all who have found the last year challenging. It is a song to reflect and remember the good times lost – and the good times to come. It is also hugely poignant for the bands that feature, who are themselves celebrating the music industry coming back to life.
