“Like the Wind” has been described as the most mysterious song on the internet. Except, it’s not “Like the Wind”, it’s “Subways of Your Mind”. Today we’re gonna find out just how the internet’s biggest lost media search concluded.

Except for Fex's tracks, all music is by me and can be found under the artist name "NeverEndingCorridor" on all major streaming platforms (or my bandcamp linked below!)

This find probably marks 2024 as one of the best year for lost media, if not the best.

Ulterior Motives and Like the Wind found in the same year is crazy.

I find it funny how the main reason we never find these old songs is because the bands are totally unaware of their internet cults. I believe in the future the amount of major lost songs will shrink because we're also slowly becoming more online.

Forty years. Can you imagine embarking on a search like this and it takes 40 years to find it? Wow. What a year for IDing media.

imagine being a small local artist like 40 years ago, more of a hobby that paid petrol money. You left it all behind, and had a career as an accountant, or an inusrance underwriter. Then you get an emila saying that hundreds of thouands of people love your song and have spent 20 years actively trying to find out where to listen. The boost you'd get knowing it had such a wide audience from a little project you did in your 20s

Wow. I honestly thought this one would never get found. Feels almost bittersweet. Sure there are still plenty of lost/unidentified media cases, and new mysteries will always keep popping up, but I have a hard time believing one will captivate the internet in the way this one did. Absolutely amazing.

This is it, lostwave peaked here. Nothing will ever top this moment right here. I thought EKT was already the peak, and we'd just accept that LTW is just a dead-end lostwave with no leads whatsoever, but nope, I was wrong.

I actually never thought I'd see the day where the song was found, especially given how long it has taken to find the song.

There was a band called Machina, they were U of M students. One of their songs is called Feel My Finger. Instead of guitar they used a distorted trumpet. They had an amazing album, someone please please please find it. Ive looked everywhere.

I was like, "No way, it can't be 'like the wind'!". I am in disbelief

It’s so weird that songs and TV shows can just disappear. Someone wrote this, someone made this. the person who made that song is probably still out there, and no one knows.

I remember being like 11 when I first heard about this search, I’m 17 now.
Whenever lost media gets discovered there’s always this weird happy feeling, I don’t know how to describe it but it is a feeling I love. Happy to see this finally found.

It was lovely to be a part of discovering this mystery. Found so many great bands, scenes and genres through the search. Can't wait to see how this entire story ends...

Duuuude... Everyone Knows That was found, Celebrity No. 6 was found, and now the Subways of Your Mind. This really is the best year for long-lost media.

I remember hearing this in a doom mod, this song is pretty iconic at this point, it also reminds me of a song i heard in CEX years ago, and have still yet to find it. All i can remember is that is that it had a female vocalist, with a very soft voice, and the lyrics; 'you are king of my castle.' It also wasn't the same as that famous dance track, it was much softer like an Acappella track.

Sad reality of our world, some of the greatest songs ever written probably ended up in the trash and were never heard again.

My literal, verbatim reaction to seeing the title of this video: "WOAH WOAH WOAH HOLD THE FUCK UP *immediately checks Reddit, furious it hadn't shown up on my homepage*"
