Zoloft appreciater here. Started it half a year ago, and have recently refound hobbies and interests that I fell out of love with 15 years ago.Have refound so many feelings that i haven't felt in an awful long time. Like pride. Ability to feel joy from outher eoples happiness. Even anger. I feel absolutely no remorse from setting boundaries these days, because I have shit to do that I look forward to and don't have time for the things that I opt out of.. I don't have to look for colors, they now present themselves to my eyes automatically. I don't smile as much as I did before Zoloft because I don't try as hard, but I often smile when I look at faces I am fond of.

Wellbutrin helped me reclaim my life. To be part of my daughters life. It saved me in ways I can't explain.

Great song, great representation-but medication is the reason i can function. I can get out of bed, i get to experience joy again. I have less panic attacks, my weight is stable

Edit: I didn't mean to start a fight! Meds aren't right for everyone and can do a lot of harm. I know that, really I do. I was just trying to share my experience!

So I really love this song. I have crippling anxiety and depression. And now I am on a mood stabilizer that really works for me but it took a long time to get the right doctors and the right meds to actually make me feel better. I also needed a great support system around and I had to want to get better. Now I still have days that aren’t great but I am much happier. This song reminds me of everything I had to fight through to get to where I am now.

My advice to anyone: Fight for yourself. You know yourself best. Doctors are PRACTICING medicine. Do not let them blow you off. Keep seeking help. Find the doctor who is right for you.

I like that jack doesn't sing about not taking the pills, he advises caution, not abstinence. Ot at least that's what i think about it.
Especially when he says "Be careful what you wish for" It's not necessarly "Don't take meds" But more so "think about what you need" be it medication, friends, family, love or hobbies.

As someone who takes zoloft, i can definitely say it has saved my life many times. Just remeber that theres nothing wrong with taking these meds if thats the only way you cam stay alive. There can be other options, but soemtimes meds are the only option left and thays ok

I've been medicated most of my life and this song describes it so well... There's no pain anymore, because everything is numb.

This song is so catchy, and rings so true but it makes me so sad because I know there are people whose lives have fallen apart because of a fear of psychological medication or because they can't afford it. It's just so sad to demonize it further.

As a mental health provider & someone who’s struggled myself, this message s great! You need to advocate for yourself to make sure that if meds are needed they are helping but not numbing you out. They’re not meant for you to feel no emotions at all. The right meds are possible but you need a provider who listens to you. If they don’t, find another one.

My late husband was prescribed all 4 at one point or another. He still committed suicide ironically May 17, the day I heard this song for the 1st time. Great song! Please keep creating! ♥️

This resonates with so many who have mental health issues, you can see it in the comments. Even people who are on meds that work, it still reminds of the times it didn't work.. and reminds us that we are still fighting to be heard and treated effectively by our health professionals.

I love this song but I also LOVE my meds. On Zoloft and Wellbutrin and adore those things. Lived my whole life with severe anxiety (social anxiety and GAD) + depression, and Zoloft was a literal life changer. I’m able to live like a normal person now and actually enjoy things. Same with Wellbutrin. It slowed my mind down and helped a lot with my sensory and focus issues (autism lol). Ik meds don’t work well for everyone, but I always find this “the doctors want you to be numb and complacent >:(“ attitude so weird. I literally owe my life to the therapists/psychiatrists that helped me get medicated and they were my biggest supports when we concluded that therapy just doesn’t cut it. If meds make you feel worse, the problem isn’t meds or “the system, ” it’s just that your body and those meds don’t work.
