New Fish Pass at Mill Street Weir, Ludlow

Works are now complete, and the fish pass is fully operational now, with water flowing freely. This weir was a significant barrier to migration. Low flows in recent years have caused pressures on fish who have been trying to get over the weir.

This work protects the built heritage of the weir as well as improving the natural heritage of the river.

This new fish pass will allow access for all migratory fish, including the iconic Atlantic salmon.
