You were my Oklahoma baby
I put a ceiling over you
Under skies of atomic blue
You had eyes like gasoline that glistens in the rain
And I put pavement in your veins
I’m a season that’s never-ending
I'm the letter that you never send in
I’m a fever I’m the phantom limb that keeps you fatherless
But you’re a tiny part of me and I’m a tiny part of you
And you stand in front me and I stand in front of you
There was a time I thought I could use your heart as warm and empty room
There was a time I thought I didn’t need you at all
But there was never a time that I didn’t love you

You were my Oklahoma baby (I hope you're all right you seem all right)
You were my Oklahoma baby (you seem all right, you seem all right)
You were my Oklahoma baby
I put a ceiling over you under skies of atomic blue
Under skies of atomic blue

This is the best thing i’ve ever heard in my life. Every time I hear one of his songs I rethink all my life choices. Makes me feel like a small child making mud pies in the crisp autumn air. Thank you.

This is truly great, I'm thankful for being able to listen to your music. I don't think there is any other artist that makes me feel so at peace as Emile Mosseri does

Lyrics?

You were my Oklahoma baby
I put a ceiling over you
Under skies of atomic blue
You had eyes like gasoline
That glistens in the rain
And I put pavement in your veins

I'm a season that's never-ending
I'm a letter that you never send in
I'm a fever, I'm a phantom limb
That keeps you fatherless
But you're a tiny part of me
And I'm a tiny part of you
And you stand in front of me
And I stand in front of you

There was a time that I thought I could use your heart
As a warm and empty room
There was a time that I thought I didn't need you at all
There was never a time that I didn't love you

You were my Oklahoma baby
(I hope you're alright)
(You seem alright)
You were my Oklahoma baby
(I hope you're alright)
(You seem alright)
You were my Oklahoma baby
I put a ceiling over you
Under skies of atomic blue
Under skies of atomic blue

Ah the best! Emile killed it with this one. Also - Chantal Anderson and Drew Bienemann with the visual work, what a cool collaboration!

the backstory on this one makes it really hit. i never knew my dad, apparently my mom left him and took me with her. EM is a great composer and this is a wonderful, heart touching song. wishing for peace for everyone with complicated parental relationships.

There's a CD! Ordered, and fingers crossed for CD versions of Minari and Kajillionaire (with the missing cues). All the best from Denmark.
