Intellectually underrated. The direction deserves an applause.

Geniusly Crafted Alif enumerate such a wide variety of malabar cult becoming scenery, the scenes forms the substance as Dabzee SA & Abraw carry the lyrics. Dejavuing our faded childhood memories and later tensions are focused by deliberate use of lights, The Folk elements of Malabar from malapuram Kathi, arabic language, mothers, family, gangs are surprising us by Kirastomian frames, Kurasawian zooms, Tarkovskian space, Vardian illusions, from SergioLeone, neonoirs to Amal neerad cuts, Latin American heat from soil rising shots, We Pause and we get a photo frame. Wish the painting 'The Garden of Earthly Delights' is a reference.
Everything so Balanced as a malabar dam Biryani and nothing foregrounded, ending with Gangsta scene. can't stop admiring artist ansarkoppan. I really feel that each person should interrupt Alif in their own way in their very individualistic way.

This song has soul and tells a hidden story that most people can't understand just by hearing it once. I’ve listened to it over 99 times, and I am amazed. This song speaks about life and its truths. The person behind this masterpiece is on another level. I appreciate the work and effort; keep going. Especially SA, who surpassed Dabzee by rapping in Malayalam—that's another level. (2:20)

I think the knife represents our life, starting from the Madrasa (school), where everything begins, and where we gain knowledge. It symbolizes where we receive life. In the video, when the knife is pulled from his back at the end, his breathing stops, and he dies.

Dabzee യുടെ Works ഏറ്റവും Best Alif ആണ്

Alif begins with a teacher casually cautioning children as they are set to lose their innocence. Next thing you know, we are kids from a Punathil Kunjabdulla story being catapulted to the good bad and ugly society. Alif represents the moment we started understanding. As we move forward on a set trajectory, we become by absorbing and interpreting.

Like a cat shaking off water, we start to fight Alif as we grow because cats don't like water in the first place. We hate the skewed lenses we were provided with. Then it hits you that you can't disown it, because with hindsight you see your childhood joy and suffering chilling out in the nostalgia mukk. In the end, when you're robbed off your culture and identity, you lay lifeless like a gold fish in bare sand, which is reminiscent of the tragic death of Pookinjeebi in Smarakashilakal.

Dabzee, who gives out Eranholi Moosa on steroids vibe, carry the nostalgic portion of the song, while evocative visuals of canal bunds and alleyways reminds us about a time when we ran on full throttle. SA shoulders the introspective part of the song with a pinch of dejection in his voice that resonates with our generation. I find the music video very relevant as it enables cultural exchange due to its honesty and universality. At any rate, this approach will continue to strengthen Kerala's acquired secularist ideals, which is quite unique.

Alif is universal, rooted and poignant. To paraphrase haji Bong Joon-ho, "Once you overcome the one-inch tall barrier of Malappuram basha, you will be introduced to so many more amazing art works."
