#1 takeaway from the Knicks game last night?

The fact that KAT had a bad shooting game and STILL scored 25 points AND the Knicks won by a large margin should be VERY eye opening for everyone. What's going to happen when he has a good game!?! 35 to 40 points, not to mention Brunson, Bridges, OG scoring? That's gonna be crazy. Dont be surprised if the Knicks blow out some teams by 30+ points on the regular during the season.

The defensive velcro Mikal and OG put on was crazy. Include Hart, Payne, Hokporti was glue. The the shooting of Brunson, Shamet, Payne, KAT and Kolek and Achiuwa. Woooow

Ariel Hackporti showed me that he’s a BANGER!! Definitely #2 Center.. He’s aggressive and tough exactly what we need and want

I was impressed with Ariel Hukporti. He's athletic and quick. He finished well around the rim. If the Knicks get him more ally oops, then it will be incredibly difficult for opposing defenders to stop him. They could also have him cut to the rim and pass the ball to him on the run.

Landry Shamet is a good pickup as well. His ability to knock down the 3 should make it easier for others to get to the rim.

As for Cameron Payne? His shot looks weird but that floater is incredibly effective. Stopping it is difficult as defenders can't often get high enough. I admired him on the 76ers and I'm glad he's on this team.

Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby's defensive ability was incredible. They got in the passing lanes creating turnovers for the other team and getting steals that led to easy baskets on the other end.

I like how the Knicks were getting out more in transition which allowed them to get to score more easily before the other team's defenders were able to setup on the other end. If they continue to do that, it will be easier for them to get and keep leads even against the top teams.

I do think the team needs to do more ally oops which could help the center to score over defenders more easily and create more free throw opportunities. Not only that, I think the team should let the 3 point game come to them rather than forcing up 3s or settling for 3s. They should pass around fast which could create a rhythm...making it easier for guys like Landry Shamet to knock it down. They can also pass to guys in the mid-range area which is rarely used and get some baskets there.

I'm really proud of KAT that he used different strategy when it comes to get points for his team. It's true he wasn't getting 3 point buckets in the 1st Half of the game, but he management to use some pick and roll plays, being in the paint getting some easy buckets, making free throws, and getting rebounds. Also, I know the Knicks will be #1 in defense and maybe just maybe, be on top 5 for 3 pointers. Lets go Knicks!
