ah yes, using air to power an engine to turn a propeller to move air.

That honestly sounds a lot like a real radial engine... My family owns a Cessna 195, and this has an insane resemblance of our airplane at ~2500 rpm on takeoff! It’s amazing how such a similar sound comes from a model of that size.

Awesome video! I know what I’m printing next! 😉

no matter the size the material and the shape, as long as its a radial engine it will sound just like one

Nothing new Ukrainian Antonov bureau made 32 jet engines using compressed air. A engineer from Antonov took the concept and placed in a Volga car body in 1986 and Gorbachev drove it and suddenly stopped asking the inventor what are running this car on he replied air . Gorbachev said we spent billions of dollars in Siberia on oil and gas ventures disallowed the invention but the engineer won a medal .

You should rly have more subs. . . I'm subscribing, hope it helps!

What if you could recycle the exhaust air and dump it back into the compressed air canister?

Folks it is a real radial engine. That's like saying that diesel over there sounds like a real engine.

That engine looks like a shvetsov m-11

I'm really wondering, how close would it sound to an Inline-5 without this propeller.

Any idea on how much power that thing is putting out?

Mine works too. I printed it and after a bit of finishing I did it, I mounted it and it worked. The problem is that it requires a lot of air to spin at a very low rpm, it doesn't reach the speed it reaches in the video. It seems that when I introduce the air flow it tends to slow down. I have two questions. The first is that the rotary valve that you put among the files to print is present both in the pre-assembled engine in step format and in stl. Which one should I print? The second. How precise do the pistons have to be? If I make them more precise they slide worse but push more, but the engine doesn't spin very freely due to the friction between the cylinder and the pistons. If I make them less precise, the engine spins freely and smoothly. The problem is that the pistons don't push because air passes through between the cylinder and the piston, so I don't know what to do.

Does it blow more air than pointing the air line at your face? Or is this part of the law of diminishing returns?

Might be a big ask, but would you video how you make this kind of thing? Sort of like integza. I'll follow you and tell people about you if you're after that.
