I've said this before, but this team's defensive effort continues to be absolutely incredible! Every outfielder, infielder, catcher has been absolutely phenomenal this year! And it's being done with and by a team that has had so many different players injured. Pat Murphy, he has been fantastic as a head coach. Initially I was worried that this manager who had never managed before this, would be what we would need. Again I apologize for doubting him. He again has been nothing short of phenomenal! Show me ANY other manager who could continue to win with as many injured players, and players that were starting pitchers, our closer, and other high-end players. Pat Murphy better get the Manager of the Year!!

When we dumped Josh Hader during a playoff run I was baffled? I initially thought, do they WANT TO LOSE? Then we traded a Cy-Young Award winning pitcher in the off-season. Again?? Why?!?!? We've allowed some players I thought we should have kept. Lastly our manager, our "Local Hero" Craig Counsell, took off and went to the Chicago Cubs. Again WITH?!? I thought that Counsell was sick of having to manage a team of cast offs, has beens, and other lesser known players. I figured that Counsell wanted to go to a team willing to spend some 💰money💰. I've said this before, I WAS WRONG!! I apologize to anyone I may have offended by my lack of faith in this team. A team I've loved since I was 5 years old, back in 1972! Craig Counsell-out snuck out of Milwaukee to our division rivals. Josh Hader was acting like a Spoiled Diva, and Corbin Burnes was following his lead. We ended up getting a decent pitcher for Hader, albeit he's injured, as is DL Hall, the pitcher we got in the Corbin Burnes trade. However the shining 🌟star🌟 in this was/is Joey Ortiz, also injured right now. This young player has been absolutely amazing. Multiple infield positions, a rocket arm, and a potential Gold Glove winner. Plus his batting skills have been climbing all season. Imagine if we had a 100% healthy pitching staff? With the younger arms we've got and seen. Our closer back? This could be a extremely dangerous team. Rhys Hoskins has also been a great pick up as well. 14 Home Runs and he too was out with an injury for a bit. William Contreras has been absolutely amazing as well. Christian Yelich's MVP type hitting, defense, and leadership has come back with a vengeance! Wily Adames another "veteran" who's power has been there when we needed it. Wily Adames and Rhys Hoskins are having a little Homerun battle, both at 14. Now the "kids". Sal Frelick, Brice Turang, Jackson Chourio, Blake Perkins, and Joey Ortiz. All young players. Either 1st year or 2nd year players. Every single one of them has been absolutely phenomenal in every aspect of the game, especially defense. Their hitting has improved a LOT. Their decision-making skills on the base paths and in the field has been almost perfect. One thing I do worry about is the continuity. I really really hope that this team can stay TOGETHER without losing any main players. There guys are having FUN, and they are a TEAM! I get the small market excuses won't ever change, but at some point they need to make some decisions, commitments to winning, and keeping a core team together. But after my laughable predictions about what they did last season, I'll just hope and pray that this team will get to the World Series.

Gotta be fair, the Pirates got totally screwed on those strike calls. Equally fair, it wouldn't have made a bit of difference. The Crew were on fire tonight.

Starting to believe this year we could make some noise in Playoffs. This team has sand and can hit the ball( not every game but)unlike Counsell's rotate pitchers until find one serving meatballs and can't hit a lick teams. Pat Murphy has done incredible job after all the defections- Stearns, Burnes, Turncoat Counsell, trading Houser /Taylor for nothing. Could we have manager of the Year
