The Hands Free Hectare project

The three engineers working on the Hands Free Hectare share the journey they have been on between drilling and now (just under a month until harvest). The aim of the project has been to grow a crop of spring barley without humans stepping into the field to tend to the crop. The barley was drilled and sprayed by an autonomous tractor and has been monitored by drone and a small ground-roving robot.
