To make Lemon Rice
Cooked Rice
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Salt - 1 Tsp
Oil - 4 Tsp
Lemon - 2 Nos
Peanuts
Chana Dal - 1 Tsp
Urad Dal - 1/2 Tsp
Mustard Seeds
Cashew Nuts
Red Chilli - 2 Nos
Green Chilli - 2 Nos
Asafoetida Powder - 1/4 Tsp
Curry Leaves
Method:
1. Take cooked rice in a wide bowl. Add salt, turmeric powder and oil to it.
2. Take a pan, add oil to it and drop in the peanuts. Roast until they are golden brown in colour.
3. Add chana dal, urad dal, cumin seeds, mustard seeds and cashewnuts. Mix and saute.
4. Add in red chillies, green chillies, asafoetida powder and curry leaves. Roast them all until the rawness of green chillies and curry leaves is gone.
5. Now gently drop in the seasoned rice.
6. Mix it all well, keep the flame on a low and add the lemon juice.
7. Give it all a nice mix and turn off the stove.
8. Tangy lemon rice is ready to be served.
