Warhammer 40k Leviathan Unboxing

I never do unboxings, but for such a chunky Warhammer 40k tenth edition box I felt I just had to. Also, I had no other ideas for how to make content out of this Leviathan beast!

The preorder post on warcomm doesn’t inspire faith that there will be plenty of the boxes to go around. They’ve listed the exact date and time that orders go live in each geographic location. Almost suggests that you’ll only have minutes to get your order in before they sell out.

The older edition model assembly instructions would also include the basic weapon stats for all the dudes in the box but it was small, not very clear if you didn't know what you were looking at and easily missed

Are there Combat Patrol rules for Combat Patrol: Tyranids, with its 25mm termagants?? Because I got that for a friend for his birthday JUST before Leviathan was spoiled.

Circle Hello! I assume they’ve since sent you the datacards. The smart thing would be to include a QR code to take new players straight to the cards for the Leviathan combat patrols.

It would have been nice as well as intelligent to include a set of complete data cards for the units in the box. Especially if you were targeting new players with this set. The data cards are a big deal to me. I don’t like to play off my phone (screen too small) and don’t want to buy a tablet just to play Warhammer. After spending most of my life working on various electronic devices, I prefer to leave them behind for gaming.

Seeing the GW previews and reading the free rules, I've been afraid that they try to remove Combat Patrol/Boarding Action from the game. And now seems to be pretty absent from the core rulebook to?

3:18 as somebody who also just put together a dreadnaught, while I enjoyed putting the whole thing together it was a lot of pieces, and I wasn’t looking forward to doing the whole thing again for leviathan. This sprue is excellent.
