Howard University researchers say the stability of South Africa is at risk. The warning comes as the US ambassador dropped a bombshell about SA supplying Russia with weapons.

To discuss this, eNCA speaks to Phiwokuhle Mnyandu, from Howard University's African Studies Department and Siphamandla Zondi, from UJ's Institute for Pan African Thought and Conversation. #DStv403

Prof. Mnyandu very comprehensive as usual. Always feel at ease listening to his balanced view.

There's an old adage that should be heeded; that one should choose you friends carefully. South Africa certainly has not heeded the wisdom thereof for a very long time. We ending up with a very 'competitive' exchange rate but with what would seem a growing reality that soon we'll have no markets to compete in because once again our delightfully wise government seems to have 'shot' itself in both feet.

What stability are you talking about? SA is in a fd up state because of the Criminal Syndicate.

It is not appropriate for NATO or any other country or organization to threaten a country without a clear justification or provocation, especially if that country is a signatory to the NPT and is complying with its obligations.

The nonsense from this guy about judging SAs democracy is just absurd. As we say in the US democracy is messy, but South Africa is firmly committed to democratic principles and processes. Do not conflate geopolitics with domestic issues.

Maybe we should have supplied Russia with electricity, maybe that will appease our American massers.
