3:48 - Complete dilation and crowning do not happen at the same time. 10 cm dilation is the end of the first stage of labor and is when baby begins to enter the vagina (and cannot be seen from the outside yet). Crowning is the end of the 2nd stage of labor, after baby has descended through the pelvis and his/her head has exited the mother's body at it's widest point.

Thanks! It could be noted that the "shot" given to stimulate the placenta release is optional- breastfeeding can create hormonal messages so that the placenta is released without the shot, correct? Also, delayed cord clamping can be hugely beneficial to the experience of the baby. Some even choose lotus birth, letting baby detach from its placenta on its own time, 3-4 days after birth.

They do not need to give you a shot for your placenta to be delivered also they should delay cord clamping
