My older siblings and I were born with a rare hereditary bone/joint disease passed down by our father and it first showed up when our teeth first came in! They were brown and crumbling to the point where our nerves were being exposed! The dentist my mother took us to said it was Hereditary Opalescent Dentine but then retracted his theory saying it was wrong and we got nothing further from him except that this disease was extremely rare!?!
I was a sickly child but don't know why other than to blame it on the disease!! Then it showed up in my low spine when I was working as a Chef, which is very physical work, and my discs started to herniate... I ended up with 4 surgeries so far! Now that I'm 65, almost every disc in my spine and neck are bulging, with many herniated completely! These disc herniations press on the spinal cord and other nerves throughout your body! Added to my spine, every joint I have is being affected and they are all causing intense pain everywhere!!! I desperately need a doctor that will and can help!!! AlaskanAndie

I wish that was a possibility for kids when my daughter was diagnosed in 2002
