I was lucky enough to be in a band that warmed up for them in 1988 during release of the Lap of Luxury Album. Not only is Robin Zander an amazing talent, he's a nice guy too. After he told me how good I was, 'yeah right' is all I could think, I stood backstage in awe and watched him sing his ass off while he was sick! He is an amazing talent and whatever he has gotten in accolades has not been near enough. There aren't many game changers in the industry, you know guys who come in and totally change things for the better, and Robin Zander is right up there with the best. We are all lucky in our lifetime to have heard him and the great American band Cheap Trick! Robin will be the first to tell you he can't sing like he did back in the day, but man he was something back then and I'll never forget that night.

I saw Cheap Trick last Saturday and I can vouch for the fact that Robin Zander is exceptionally good live. The whole band acts like they're still 30. Amazing talent, ESPECIALLY considering their ages. I also got to meet Robin after the concert and he was the nicest, down-to-earth person ever. He just chit chatted with us for like 20 minutes. Great group of guys.

November 17, 1982 was the best night of my life. I was 14 and I saw my all time favorite rock band, Cheap Trick, in concert in Rochester, NY at the War Memorial. It was awesome.

Gawd I was in love with Robin Zander back in the day. I saw Cheap Trick at a club in Charlotte NC in like 1984. One of the sexiest men in rock n’ roll…up there with Robert Plant. Love them!!
