As the prices rise, I find it easier to leave the wallet closed. There are so many proven great games at retail for far less. Shipping cost alone on some of these games could buy you some great games.

Dodos riding dinos is just a delightful, quick and fun game! Would recommend I it thoroughly if you want something light, quick, fun and easy to play

I am backing Bloodstones. I expect that it will be awesome. Right up my alley.

Euthia is pretty amazing for a first time publisher.

I backed Dodo's for a dollar and went all in on Quodd Heroes. Couldn't help it, love that programming video game style. I think my nephew will really like these games. Thanks Chris! Have a great weekend and Happy Friday!

Backing Dodos mostly for the expansion, but also to get the WfCI upgrade pack for the replacement cards and new rulebook, as the original game's rules meant it looked better than it played and they took the feedback to heart and the new book is clearer, cleaner, and just better overall.

Bloodstones might be my most anticipated of the year and i only found out about it a few weeks ago. Everybody should look into this one. The price can be scary until you realize just how many Azul-like tiles are in it. Plus those silk-like cloth boards look fantastic!

I'm backing Bloodstones. Jongetsgames video tutorial really shows the gameplay well. It got me interested in it. Jon is good at what he does but not so good for my wallet.

Draconis Invasion intrigues me as well. If you look into it, please share your thoughts on it!

Beyond reason and responsible choices, I think I am going in for Dark Tower. I would absolutely love to play it with my kids when they get a little older and I think it is one my wife would enjoy too. Personally I would be all over Bloodstones, but I don't know anybody else who would enjoy it with me.

Return to Dark Tower: 150 USD just for shipping to EU?
This puts the nail into the coffin! Who would pay that? Especially, as the price point of the game is already pretty high, I would opt for a digital only game (e.g. via some VTT module) or walk away from crowdfunding alltogether.

Retail has become more attractive to me as of late, as those prices have become sometimes absolutely absurd. And as you already mentioned: with such a high price point I wonder, what other games I could potentially buy for that money.

I know it is tough for the whole industry. But my suggestion to be all those boardgame companies is, to look more into the digital options. Why not offer a ready made module for e.g. Fantasy Grounds, Roll20, etc? What about print and play with delivery via e.g. DriveThruRPG? Save yourself shipping costs, difficulties on scheduling containers and warehouses. Production costs for materials? Digitally hardly any. Please boardgame creators: check your options there. VTTs are constantly getting better and are also gaining an ever growing player base.

Don't get me wrong: I still highly value a traditional, non electronic game. We spend way too much time infront of screen, already. But maybe it is time to move on for me and my buddies to play at least the occasional games purely digitally.

And just as a side note (and I know we are all tired of hearing it, but it's a fact: COVID is not over yet and will hit us again badly during the winter season. So the idea on social distancing may come back into politician's minds. And when lockdowns or some kinds of constraints are put into place again, I would consider myself lucky, if I had ways of playing those games digitally.)

Euthia and RtDT were my "I'm backing 100%" games if they return, but both released at the same time :o Finally watched a video somewhere that convinced me to pass on Euthia. I know I'd love it, but just too much going on and nothing new IMO that I haven't seen. It's just another open world/RGP style game, I have a few already. Speaking of something "new", RtDT has it!! I know you think it doesn't do anything new in your opinion, but that tower is unique. It's something new and not offered in any other game. I have hundreds of games. I want something new/unique, so that's what is swaying my decison. Also, I have a $10 pledge from the previous campaign that somehow, apparently, is still allowing me to back the game from the first kickstarter, which has lower prices :o Wonder if I do that, if my money just disappears in limbo...

Disappointed with Euthia. I wasn't expecting $185 and another ~$30-35 for shipping. $215 is too rich for my blood, especially considering it's filled with useless plastic. I watched another streamer play this on YT and he said the elemental minis actually made it more difficult to see what was on the board b/c you couldn't see behind them as well. If there was a more affordable standee version, I would have considered it. Have a good weekend!

To add to your euthia comments, the stretch goals are not related to the base game, so you'll need to go all-in to get those.

Norway (where I reside) not classed as vat free btw :-(. Like you said, VAT not included, no way! Tax here is 25% plus 20 dollar handling fee on everything. I shit you not! The rest of europe has joined our happy boat on many of these ;-)

My favourite part is the shipping, the tax, and then.... the tax on the shipping! Which is sometimes for us the ROW rate. I'd have oathsworn on its way right now but tax and shipping even on just the base mini pledge worked out to be $350 in total, so almost the same money again on the $179 The all-in??? *shudder*

Went and backed primal all-in anyway lol. Sometimes you just have to choose your

I am very torn on Euthia, it looks like I would really enjoy it but that price point and game time/table space are daunting... the gameplay actually look fairly simple to understand (compared to say a mage knight that I have hesitated buying many many times) but still would cap at 2 players max.
In the new content for this campaign it is supposed to bring better solo/coop but there is little actual info, if they detail what it means I might get tempted.
