Cora puts the Mathews V3 27 up against the Bowtech Solution SS.
In this video she tests overall shootability, draw cycles and real life speeds with a 400 gr. arrow.

Both bows set up at 52lbs and 27" draw.

Which bow do you believe will outperform the other??

The Bowtech you tested most likely had one drawstop a bit off from the other one, giving you that spongy backwall. Once the cams are timed, the Solution SS has a fantastic backwall and no vibration at all. That's why I got a Solution SS. As someone who has worked on bows for almost 18 years, and make bowstrings, I do prefer Bowtech over all others. The final consideration for me for never getting a Mathews or (Hoyt) is the stupid floating yoke system. You do realize the Mathews has 5 strings on that bow, plus you have to take the cams off to replace the yoke cables. What normally takes me a couple hours to make 3 strings and retune a bow, now takes me an extra hour due to those short yoke cables that I now have to make.

Also, they set your peep too low, because you're tilting your head down to look through it.

I have a V3 and SS. I love the bowtech draw and wall. I love them both honestly. I must disagree though, The SS is feel nothing in my hand at all.

That’s a review I’ve been wanting to see. I’ve been shooting Mathew’s all my entire life. I’ve shoot the v3 27 @60lbs since it came out. I put a few hundred arrows through it every week. It’s dead quiet and supremely accurate. I started noticing around Thanksgiving the horrid draw cycle was really bothering me. Now I’m actively looking at both Elite and the Bowtech Solution SS. The ole V3 27 is about to be retired.

People that don't no better just pick mathews because of the name. Bowtech are way better bows. On a cold day try to pull that mathews back wt a jacket on. Not going to happen. Bowtechs are the best bows on the market. I work in a bow shop so I know the facts.i see more 27s get derailed a week more then anything

The solution sd would have been a better choice. The cam is made for shorter dl's

Great choice!
You should have shot the V3X 29. Better string angle for ya!
I loved my V3-31 so much last year that I bought the V3X 29 this year.
Kept the 31 for my back up bow

I was hoping to welcome you to the Bowtech club! 😁Kidding of course, Mathews makes great bows. I just subscribed and followed you all on IG. Keep up the great work.

Everyone loves a new bow. Sweet. She needs to learn not to use her finger like she does. Punching leads to drive-by punching the trigger. Please watch " bow only outdoors" on YouTube. There are some videos on using different releases. Including a trigger release. A thumb release is a great option too. Please get away from punching that trigger. Cool video and a great bow choice.

Id go a half inch longer on your draw because of the shorter ATA it will give you a better anchor and speed

That's one thing I don't like about Matthews I shot the movie X333 and when it rolled over and dumped Into the back wall I don't like The Valley at all even with the 80% let off I still don't like it I want to go to pull my bow straight back and come to anchor And then start my pull through You all should really check that out instead of punching that trigger

And after a while you might want to go with G.A.S. Bowstrings one of the best out there. Virtually no stretch after initial break in. And will last a long time. Just a thought. Great video. I might just be picking up that bow for my daughter. Currently she is using the Mathews Prima.
