Durabond mud with my skimming trowel lol has worked wonders for floating floors, smooth and sets fast

You can lay in some fiber mesh tape if it needs extra strength.

It’s ready for flooring in 15 min. I use this stuff for everything!

I have heard of the ardex but on my last job I used the mapei plani patch to take out a bunch of birdbaths in the subfloor. Worked great. It does set up quick. But nicer then floor lever to take out irregularities in a floor.

would you recommend this or the cement self level to help level out a bathroom floor, but not the whole floor. about a 1/2 difference in the lowest spot, but need to make shower pan level before install, thanks!

I've done restoration work for over 28 years all these self level stuff under wood floors or carpet were always cracked and NOT stuck to subfloor 😮🤙🖖

What about self leveling? Would that work too?

You can easily sand that down with a drum sander in about 5 minutes. Just feather it out a couple feet so you won't be able to tell.

There’s a Henrys product that basically does the same thing. I know it’s part of Ardex

Just use hot mud or durabond, who carrs about this stuff
