If you’re in your home right now, could you do us a favor? Look around it. Take it all in. Look at all the stuff you have in it, where your bed, kitchen, bathroom, whatever you have there, take a look and appreciate what you have. As you all know, there are millions upon millions of people in the world who don’t have homes, and it’s a sad thing to witness. Then, there are those who have the most extravagant homes possibly and we go, “Really, though?” And then, there are the people who have homes…but those homes aren’t exactly the most…standard affairs that you can picture. So with that in mind, allow us to show you the 20 Strangest Places Where People Actually Live.

The people who live in these places are very humble. After watching this video, my respect has increased. They are truly inspiring.

The people in Brazilian favelas are the nicest, most respectful, humble people you could ever meet. I am an American and bought a house in Jacare, the 2nd largest favela, and i don’t even have to lock my doors. Believe it or not the favelas have a code of honor where, theft, robbery, $exual Assault and “touching” minors is totally unacceptable and violators get dealt with by the community. As long as you know SOMEONE who lives there or respected there you are VERY SAFE!

Coober Pedy underground homes are awesome. I live about 540 kms south of Coober Pedy. My sister did a trip to Darwin back in 2007. Coober Pedy was one of our stop overs. We were given a tour of one of the homes.

Imagine, you climb the 800m down the cliff and then you realize that you have forgotten some important shit at home ...

Although I wasn't able to go through all of the comments, and apologize if someone has already mentioned this, perhaps there should be a mention of the resourceful Uros people that live on the surface of the lake Titicaca. It is considered the highest navigable lake in the world. They live their lives by ingeniously, creating multi layered islands out of the grasses/reeds? that they remove from the shallow waters of the lake.

The Freedom Cove and Sealand documentaries I've seen are very in-depth and informative.

Some wild places. Some very beautiful too. Also scary. The cloning shouldn't be a surprise considering China pretty much copies everything from everywhere lol. It is kind of weird that more of the people don't want to move tho. Other than the money aspect. Aren't they like the most populated or OVERpopulated country? Them and India. Weird. Thanks for the vid😉

I’m from the U.S.; been to the Rhocina Favelas with a guide: stood on that bridge as a POC thinking “Woww, it’s crazy how we are oppressed everywhere!” It was heartbreaking & difficult to move through (those stairs were steep & BRUTAL), but also pleasing & humbling to see the people who live there, who look more like me (something I didn’t see much of outside of there) & spend a day with them while supporting those small mom&pop shops.

What a humbling experience. 🙏🏽❤️
