This car has stayed the same for 15 years without any changes that is insane they absolutely need a new generation

That $40k difference in price is much less extreme when you account for inflation. $70k in 2007 is the equivalent of just over $100k which is only about a $10k increase in todays money. When you also consider the fact that the gtr went from 480hp to 565hp along with other improvements they have made to the car over the years I dont think that's one of the reasons it's become less popular.

The major reason for price being too high is because of the cult following . Just look at any old jdm car they where cheap when they released and now they cost twice the price they are worth for . I am looking at you supra .

this is so sad. I was hoping they would keep on making them, so that in like 20so odd years I could buy one, but if they discontinue them, you'll have to choose between a Nissan GTR or a base Lamborghini. these cars are so cool. and it will be a sad day to see them go!

The reason it was the same for 14yrs is because they built it so good not much to improve on. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it

Yeah not just that but the Nissan GTR sales have went down also mainly because a lot of countries have banned the sales of new models due to safety regulations such as Australia because of the a pillar not being reinforced but also another big reason is there is no point in buying a brand new one when you can buy one a few years old with the same design and platform as never ones for much less but this also applies to cars like the Huracan and aventador

Adjusted for inflation, that’s only a $10, 000 increase…

Its not like its being discontinued in 2023 or anything…

And the fact that it's become way to mainstream, kids in like 6th grade are dreaming of owning a gtr just because they saw it in a movie or something

Also. Only skylines can be deemed as Godzilla, not the GTR R35.

I still personally love it
Just slap a turbo and some few mods and it will have all the power you need, and after all it won't seem to cost you much, you have a 70k+
car

When i got to drive the car in Gran Turismo 4 in 2004, I knew it would be the best car for years to come. It was just too perfect; handling, acceleration, and stability. Back in 2010, nothing on the road could touch it. IMO, the GTRs down fall is that it was too well rounded and too easy to drive, that it lacked any defining characteristics.
