Helo Will. When saying the nights of the week, you need to mutate some of the words. So Monday night would be Nos Lun, not Nos Llun. This happens with Tuesday (Nos Fawrth), Wednesday (Nos Fercher) and Friday (Nos Wener). Keep up the good work. Diolch yn fawr.

I've learnt so much now! I was born and raised in wales, spoke it fluently but have now after 6 years back in England forgotten some:( this has really helped me. Although it's easy stuff I forgot most pronunciations! Please post more, I want to remember the how are you convocation and animals and numbers. Because I was 8 when I left I didn't really speak to anyone I didn't know. Mum dad and family and friends that's all! Please post again!

I've heard someone say "Nos Wener" - i.e. with the soft mutation losing the initial "G" of Gwener. Is that because of a word that comes before or after the "Friday night" perhaps?

Hi Will - does this is principle work for morning to? For example would Sunday morning be - Bore Sul ? A response would be ace!

I'm still puzzled by the double ell. Listening to multiple pronunciation guides, including your own, it seems to range anywhere from 'sh' to a hiss originating somewhere near the molars.  I'm even more confused by this video, because to my ear it sounds as though you're also voicing an ell sound in Llun.  Could someone clarify the pronunciation?

I have a question:
I use duolingo and sometimes Google translate to check things. Duolingo presents possible translations for just the part of the name, which can be other things as well (for example "llun" on its own can be "picture"?). Do you have to use Dydd before all? is not using it a mistake or context is enough? (if I don't use Dydd on Duolingo it doesn't mark as a mistake and mark it as correct either way, so is context enough?)

Easier if you include first the words from last week as well. 🙂
