A quick look at the iAdvance Motorsports coaching facility and simulator, followed by a driving demonstration of SimXperience DIY Rear Traction Loss.

The wooden platform is simply a way to put any cockpit atop the SimXperience hardware; it's a quick, low-cost way to add RTL to any rig. Complete plans are available in the iRacing hardware sub-forum. I also have plans for an identical solution made using 80/20 industrial framing components. It's also possible a commercial deck will be made available.

Here's a link to the DIY Rear Traction Loss kit, which can be added to virtually any existing rig via a simple platform as shown in this video:

Glad to see that you're back at it again buddy, it's been a while since your last sim video and I've be waiting to see what would be your next project.

Really cool idea. I would love to do something like that for my rig. I pretty much only run midgets and sprints, so that would be really cool.

man for dirt rally a upscaled version of this would be crazy. Like maybe a 120 degree sway

Todd, I realize the wood platform was constructed by the guys there at iAdvance Motorsports.  Is there anyway I can get the dimensions and specifics on that platform if we wanted to build something like that at home or is it just a big wood platform?  I guess I'm wondering whats underneath and needed for the rear traction to sit on it correctly?

have you done! I didn't realize that I could have this without the rest of a motion rig. I just bought an Accuforce v2 (arrives tomorrow!) and a proper 80/20 I see this too. Plans might change on upgrading the pedals to an uber set....again lol. Gotta pay this house off in 7 years though, so I gotta be careful lol, maybe fall or winter

hehe awesome setup! well, I've got pretty much everything but the motion platform. on top of that I have bucket loads of room in my gaming cave. now, will this cost me arm and leg?

So is this 1 degree of motion more bang for buck and information input than the flashier 2DOF rigs that rock the seat around?

That's cool but it seems like it would almost throw you off in an intense race going from zero motion most of the time to motion in the event of traction loss.
