How to Deliver Your Peak Performance with Jonathan Carr

I think people confuse the relatively constant roll (or at least a roll over a significant part of the arc) of the left wrist with an "instant twist at impact to release power".
In my mind, a twist is more of a deliberate manipulation (that just shuts the face closed), whereas the roll is 'forces of nature' at work, that allows the clubhead to overtake the hands in a controlled fashion.

There’s no problem with the roll over. You just have to be well aware of the fact that it’s AFTER the ball. It only rolls over once you’ve turned through the ball, the body stops moving, and the momentum of the club continues

A rollover is perfectly fine in a classic golf swing not so much in a modern golf swing. The swing Jackie Burke taught was more body turning or turning in a barrel or circular you're swinging around yourself so rotating your forearms or your upper arms or whatever you want to rotate is perfectly fine. In a modern golf swing it's not about rotation the hips are moving on A sagittal plane it's about flexion extension it's about creating space it's about depth of your hips Etc so if you're going to have any kind of dramatic rolling motion you better set up appropriately. That could create some wild misses
