How to build a mega RGB PC with Corsair 5000D RGB Airflow

Prawn here again with another build of the @corsair 5000D Airflow. Except this time I'm doing things different because I'm focusing on building with RGB and making it as straightforward as possible. I'm using the pre-included RGB fans, plus one extra and those included with the H150i Elite Cappelix and some lighting accent triangles to set it off.

In this guide I'm showing you every step to go through if you want to copy my build. However, I'm not covering things like SSD mounting and HDD mounting. As I've done that in the past. I've also previously shown crazy things like how to build in this case with 12 different fans and a push pull setup. So if you want to see what else is possible be sure to check out my other videos below.

The Corsair 5000D Airflow is a fantastic case and now Corsair has improved it with an updated version that includes more RGB with the AF120 RGB Elite fans. Those fans are also setup and connected for you already. So they're really easy to get working. Combine them with the other devices I'm showing you and you've got a really easy, but cool build. It's great looking and works well too!

Good advice on not tightening the radiator all the way, did that yesterday to keep clear of the rear fan

This is exactly what I'm saving up for. It's going to take a while, but I'm going to keep this one on my playlist.

I love the 5000D, my ONLY complaint (because aesthetics) is that I wish there was enough space in the upper vent so that the liquid cooled reservoir could fit up there and that way the top fans would be more visible from within the case. That OR the give it just a hair more space so that 3 fans can fit horizontally at the top and still have the liquid cooled moved to the forward facing panel.. from my experience I couldn't get 3 to fit on the top if it was connected to the front. Minor gripe... but maybe in the next version :)

I used this case, and the intel version of this Gigabyte motherboard. Also, a 1K Corsair power supply and 64gb DDR5 6000.
So far this is one of the top builds of around 60 I've done. Waiting no for the RTX 5090.

So the way I saw what you were doing is, the course thread are into the back plate or toward the motherboard and the fine thread sticking out.

Hi and congratulations on your builds, they are very nice! I just assembled my new pc with this beautiful case and with 7 Corsair AF120 RGB Elite fans, everything came out well but I have a little problem, I noticed that the dust filters create a vortex and the front and side fans make a noise a bit annoying, I tried to remove these dust filters and this noise disappeared, now I managed to find a good compromise by setting to 1000 the rpm of the fans, however I have to leave them at a fixed speed as at certain speeds this noise reappears, do you think that if I change fans this problem could disappear?
