Monaco is the richest country in the entire world. A micro-state that sits right on the coast of the French Riviera that is roughly 4km long and just half a km wide. A country that is so rich that 1/3 of its entire population are millionaires. This is a closer look inside of Monaco.

Success is not built on success. It's built on failure, It's built on fraustration. it's built on fear that you have to overcome. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life

I was in Monaco two days ago. All buses were free for the month. I found the locals very helpful when directions were needed. Anyone visiting Monaco must see the changing of the guard at the palace, at 11.55am daily.

Wow Monaco looks like an absolute dream. The architecture, the views and the food looks incredible. The fact that it’s smaller than Central Park is also wild. Loved this video! ❤

Now this some cinematic documentation. Brett certainly has talent for taking videos of places he goes to. We all hope to see him succeed further in his career.

Few corrections if I may. First, you do not need to own property in order to live here. You do need EUR 500k in a local bank, and either provide a rental agreement (rent is paid 3 months in advance, plus 3 months security deposit with a 35sqm studio setting you back about EUR 2k a month, plus utilities) or you do indeed purchase a place. Most places are fairly old, but if you like 70s chic, then you are in the right place. There are a number of new developments, though they have pushed up the prices for both rent and purchase. Restaurants here are so so. Of course there are some good places around here, but a lot just get away with serving ok food for a ridiculous pricetag - mainly because a lot of people will just pay the price without asking. There are however decent places like Trinity where you stopped. Trinity's cocktail bar right opposite also serves some decent food, though if you go to places like San Remo (where we sometimes go to escape Monaco) you will find more consistency in food quality and much better value for money. From a traffic perspective, summer is really the worst, with tourists and car spotters without any regard for their or other people's lives just walk (or run) nto the middle of the road just to take a picture.

As a Monegasque, I am really happy to see someone not telling bad things about my country.
Of course it’s expensive, but keep in mind that « average » people (just like me) also live here

So cool to see a video about Monaco! I just got back from the French Riviera and was lucky enough to spend 4 nights in Monte-Carlo. It's a very clean, safe, and "otherworldly" place, with luxury and beauty everywhere you turn. It's not for everyone, but it sure is unique. I was pleasantly surprised by the food prices not being as high as I'd imagined and the very warm and kind service workers. They were already working on setting up for the Grand Prix, which one day I hope to go back for!

Monaco is a beautiful place! I was there in 1971 and fell in love with the beauty of the surroundings and the ocean.

Here are a few more facts about Monaco you may like. Prince Albert is the ruler of Monaco which is a principality. He is half American. His mom was the late American Oscar winning actress Grace Kelly. The people of Monaco believe that Monaco has remained a great country because of the prince.
There are approx 39, 000 people living in Monaco. Only about 9, 000 were born there. They are called Monagasque's. The prince makes sure that his people get benefits that help them live their daily lives well, like offering rent subsidies and preferential employment treatment No one lives below the poverty level in Monaco and there is no slum area in Monaco.
The jail has 35 cells and the inmates of which there are very few, receive some of the best food. It is thought if you feed them well they will behave better. They do. Monaco is the safest city in the world. There is one cop for every 70 people. There hasn't been a murder in decades. Every car that enters the country has its license plate taken down bc they want to know who is coming into their country. The safety of the people is paramount. The cops can stop you any time they like and they don't need a reason. That was something a rich American learned when he was pulled over and started the I am special BS and the cop told him to essentially get over himself and realize he's in Monaco not America and if he doesn't watch his smart mouth he will cool his heels in a cell over night. The American was smart enough to shut his mouth after that.
If you make excessive noise with your super expensive sports car ( or any car) you will be ticketed. ( if your rich who cares) However, if you are pulled over for a second time for the same offense, your car will be impounded( taken away).I don't know for how long but I would imagine probably overnight at least. There are also no paparazzi allowed in Monaco. Apparently there are also a LOT of very high class hookers.
Monaco has 5 gardens around the country and they are stunningly beautiful each in their own way. It is a country that encourages you to walk around bc of its truly beautiful architecture but also bc of its parks and harbors. It has a ballet company, a symphony, an opera house and the Prince Albert forum.
It is in the middle of a $2 billion dollar land expansion into the mediterranean. It started in 2020 and is expected to be finished in 2025. Apparently as of 2022 all the 1000 apartments etc had been sold except 3. They were bought based on the blueprints. The entire project was privately funded which means the government of Monaco is NOT paying for it. You can see this project on a YT video. It also has an amazing Aquatic museum with 5000 specimens. It is a very unique country. : ). Thank you for your video Brett.
P.S., I almost forgot. The most expensive apartment in the world is in Monaco. The building is called the Odeon (it is blue in color) and the 5 top stories of the building is one apartment which was selling for $ 387 MILLION Dollars. However they recently dropped the price by $32Million so you can buy it for the bargain price of $ 355 million dollars. : )

Been to Monaco- loved it, the old town is lovely and yes it's not too expensive to eat there. St Tropez is definitely more expensive. We love Nice and Antibes.
