Okay, so check it... sample packs aren't new. Back in the day, me and uncle Ass would buy sample CDs for our early hardware samplers. Sure it was a bit of a pain to loop them and deal with them inside a text window... but they were available. Distribution just got a lot easier and so did the means to play them back. Any dingus with a $300 laptop has all he needs to loop samples.

Nah, people did the same back in the day, there was just a paywall. You actually had to buy the synths and drum machines to get the presets and samples. Wowsers!
