Heavenly father, I loosen the word of James 1:19, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 binding myself, my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances and my opponents and the body of Christ to be quick to listen and to be slow to speak and slow to anger, binding myself not to be unequally yoked with and have any common share with those who are slow to listen, quick to speak and quick to anger, loosening one of every need to be quick to speak or quick to anger upon no return in my life, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

This is just like the principle of "Seek First To Understand, Then To Be Understood" from Stephen Covey's book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Definitely read that book when you have a chance--it lines us perfectly with the teachings of the Bible.

great content.. Its hard for me to believe that the same writer (solomon) wrote both " soft answer turns away wrath" but then just a few short chapters later follows with " if you stop listening to instruction you will continue to make stupid mistakes". In today's society many would consider the second not to be very soft but we find even Jesus called a spade a spade when he called the pharisees white washed tombs and brood of vipers. Keep up the good work! And I will work at being a more active listener. Thanks for the reminder
