When it comes to The Simpsons, there is little doubt that they are a show that has outlasted pretty much every expectation put in front of them. Seriously, the show has been on for over 30 years, that doesn’t just happen! But throughout its run, it’s taken numbers stabs at the future of the world. From technologies that might be made, to how we handle business, to the state of cars, and so on. And while a lot of things haven’t happened yet...a lot has. Seriously, they predict a LOT right. It’s not the worst accidental 9-11 prediction the pilot for the short lived X-Files spin-off The Lone Gunmen takes the unfortunate top spot for that one (aired in March 2001 and oh it’s eerie how extremely close to reality that episode was.)
