Knuckles Rates Every Knuckles Voice Actors

Man, idk who to pick. Dan Green or Travis Willingham? The both of them are awesome at playing Knuckles. Who's your pick? It's rather weird hearing Ryan as Knuckles. I mean, he's Sonic The Hedgehog, he can't be Knuckle as well. Scott's fine, Dave's pretty cool and Idris Elba, talk about a stunning performance he's done in the sequel.

Can I just say this, but I personally find Dan Green’s performance as Knuckles to be overrated beyond belief. Whenever I listen to it, I just can’t for the life of me find myself enjoying it. His voice sounds too high-pitched and gravely for a character who initially had a deeper and mellow voice. He sounds tough, but he often sounds forced. Knuckles annoyed me in Sonic X. He improved a bit along the way after getting into the at sounding tough only when he actually needed to, but this comes at the cost of Knuckles’s dialogue being messed up and turning Knuckles into a hotheaded doofus. That said, I can’t understand why people like him the best besides nostalgia. On top of that, all I’m hearing is Dan’s role as Yami Yugi from Yu-Gi-Oh. On the other hand, Travis Willingham wasn’t good at first since he sounded almost identical to Dan, but he improved along the way, and after Forces I can say that he was a huge step-up from Dan Green. That said, Scott Dreier imo is the perfect Knuckles voice of all of them, and not just because Adventure Knuckles was written and characterized better, but because Dreier just has a natural sound for Knuckles. In Sonic Adventure 2, Dreier sounded kinda dull and monotone, but naturally relaxed, but in Heroes, he sounds encouraged to be there, and Dreier gave him more emotion and was able to raise his voice more. Scott makes Knuckles sound tough, cool, and mellow, and that’s why he’s my favorite. I don’t understand at all why people think he’s the worst Knuckles. He sounded like what Knuckles should be like to me. Dan Green sounded nothing like what the others left off, which is why I disliked his take so much.

Dave B. Mitchell has grown to be my favorite voice for Knuckles. Though Willingham, Green and Dreier are also excellent in their own rights. Elba is also great as Knuckles too.

Scott Dreier is the true voice of Knuckles. Dan Green imo is overrated and a joke. Travis Willingham is a bit better because of his performance in Forces but he’s still meh.
As for Ryan Drummond, “He’s Sonic, but he can’t be Knuckles as well.” Well what if I told you he could? He’s able to pull off that voice since his voice is pretty deep. That’s how he gets an accurate representation of Michael McGaharn’s E3 voice.

Let's, see everyone who sounded like a generic beefcake, is praised to high heaven, while two actually competent ones who can elevate their material and give some personality to this glorified marketing ploy and eventual paper weight, is rejected. And Sonic fans wonder how and why knuckles got derailed? I give anyone who reads this a hint, it wasn't just the writing!

Brian Drummond was iconic as Vegeta, but his performance as Knuckles? Not so much. I love B-Drum as much as the next guy, but he simply just wasn't meant to be Knuckles
