I'm 24 going to be 25 and I'm still struggling to know which major I want. Ever since I was young I loved learning about geology, but now because of climate change I'm thinking about majoring in environmental science or wildlife biology because I want to advocate to help fight and protect our planet. I also had a rough time in high school and college. I struggle with math so I need advice from anyone that's been in the same position as me, what did you do to succeed in your journey? I know the environment and conservation is my passion but I'm struggling to know which path I should be on. Love your videos by the way!

I am a rising junior for my zoo and wildlife biology degree. When I graduate my kids will be five and eight, and I’ll definitely check back in with you about my experience as a mom in this career. I would love to be able to take them in the field with me to teach them about how awesome our planet is and how we can help keep it that way. They both show such an interest in the world now, especially animals! Who knows, maybe we will be a real life wild Thornberrys family LOL.

Thank you for these videos they really inspire me to pursue this career path. Especially hearing that we don't really have to be the best at math/calculus. :)

So true, other girls in my grade constantly say how bad they are at math even when they're getting A's in high level courses. And I really have never heard that many boys go to such lengths to say they're bad at math

Hiii ! I’m going into my senior year in highschool and I’m thinking about being a wildlife biologist. I’m new to everything but can you give me advice when wanting to be a wildlife biologist since I’m still thinking about it. It seems really fun and what you do is exactly what I would want to do. Like what is your career path

I've recently had trouble with school, since I found it difficult to stay motivated. So many choices.

That being said, I'm absolutely fascinated with both wildlife biology and marine biology. Yet, I worry I'd have to choose one field over the other.

I understand that going through different courses will help narrow down what's best for me, but is it at all possible to find a degree/career that can do at least a bit of both?

My diet in the field would crush that notion. 😂That I stay healthy despite my diet being pretty terrible is always a source of amazement for me.

Whenever my friends hear the word "wildlife"
The first thing that comes to their mind is " Bear Grylls"😂

When people do not understand someone, they will place in them in a box to try and label them. But then they are just restricting themselves when making assumptions.

Hey Kristina, I am a new subscriber to your channel! I'm 26 years old and im going through some changes with career. I have been looking into being a conservationist, I want to make a positive impact. Any advice that you could give me in steps for getting into this is greatly appreciated!

Kristina, I currently work in designing stormwater management systems and hydrology and have an undergrad in civil/environmental engineering. I have always wanted to work in the biology/ecology field specifically with wetlands and ornithology. Would I need to go back to school and pursue a masters in a related field or even another undergrad? Or can I still apply to these jobs with my engineering degree and with experience in environmental and hydrology? I also study wetlands ecology and waterfowl biology in my personal time. Thanks!

Hey Kristina,
I want to gain some practical experience in Zoology and wildlife conservation, because there are barely any internship positions in Germany. You have to apply atleast 2 years earlier for most of them, and by that time I am done with my Bachelor in Biology. You said that you have to stand out from the crowd by volunteering.
So I found out about websites like "Natucate" and"Volunteerworld", that offer abroad internships in South Africa or any other wildlife sanctuary.
They are pretty expensive, but I consider them as a lifetime and practical experience that is worth the expense if it helps me stand out from the crowd.
Are those the type of internships you would recommend? Or do they have to be specific internships, and not just volunteering? If so,
could you recommend me any places that would be worth doing an internship at for my resume?

Do you by chance have any moms in the field that have shared information with you about the experience of the balance.

I want to become a vet but since I'm in south africa, there is only one vet school in Africa, so the field is extremely competitive. I'm trying to figure out if I would want to be a wildlife biologist which is why I watch your vids.

Hey! I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and I’ve wondered, is it possible for me to study a bachelors program in science with, a diploma in business? I took the diploma because my friends convinced me that It’s “practical” but I do wish to follow my passion in biology. Do you have any advice in regards to this situation?
