RWBY AMV: 'Pompeii'

November went without a video because I was working tirelessly on the WYCD AU for NaNoWriMo, my RWBY fic! You can find it on Ao3 and its "soundtrack" playlist right here on YouTube. Now FEAST

Things about this that wrecked me (in no particular order):
1) The shots where Velvet transitioned into the people she was emulating
2) The time progression from Vale to Atlas
3) THE DRUMS MOMENT
4) the shots of team RWBY in Atlas immediately followed by them from earlier volumes
5) Just every time you played old footage and new footage back to back

I wasn't sold on the song choice at first. But if this isn't one of the best RWBY edits I have ever seen I will be getting my eyes checked. I cant imagine how much time went into editing this but a seriously good job, and criminally under-viewed.

Truly a spectacular feat! The editing on this one and the seamless transitions from events to actual frame-by-frame animation matches in other parts of the series is incredible. The song fits so perfectly to hit this theme of repeating actions that, so far, have not caused any change in the status quo.

I think this may be my favorite AMV on the similarities and differences between Beacon and Atlas. Beacon was the main cast being caught completely off guard, Atlas was them after all they had learned and grown....and yet Salem still grabbed the Relic she wanted. Because she's done this a thousand times before, she's good at this, so good that she can get vaporized for a day and still come out ahead because she had Cinder trained so well. She's met a thousand heroes, and she's broken each one, so why would she give Ironwood a second look?
Which is why ending on the tree is the perfect ending to this AMV, because I think this is the moment the game changes. Team RWBY are about to learn things about their world even she doesn't know.

I just kept saying "oh my god, oh my gawd" the entire time because each new moment was my new favorite. I love how you highlighted the similarities no one else really does for some fights. This inspired me. Will definitely watch again tomorrow.

AHHH The whole thing is absolutely amazing, I am in LOVE with that part at 1:40-1:51 with all the fading through the scenes of Blake from the Ace Ops fight and yang from the festival and it just AHHHH I love everything about this it's absolutely amazing!!!!
